Interpreting Thesis
This episode of Bullshit has many claims about college including the social norm that you have to attend college to be successful, colleges advertise diversity, cost of school, and diversity has to do with being brainwashed. The primary claim is that college students are brainwashed by society because all they hear about is job markets, diversity, and what good college will do for them. This episode was focused on the idea of college kids going to school because it was the norm. They used examples like diversity, drinking, and the reasons actual students attended college to back up this claim. The use of interviewing actual college kids was okay because supported their claim that they are brainwashed. Although they used a small sample size not giving it the support they needed to gain enough credibility. Good examples included St.Cloud State University and what they have done to try and create more diversity.
